In the Begining...

My name is Patrick James Gill, I am a midwestern multi medium artisian that has been mostly self taught by trial and error. I did succeed in art in my highschool days, even as far as recieving the art award my senior year. After many years of woodburning, scetching, and drawing and painting landscapes and wildlife, I saw a picture of a Santa doll in a craft magezine, and decided to try and replicate it as a gift for my wife for Christmas. I had never really played with clay that much before and was amaized to find out how much I truly enjoyed working with it.. Everything seemed so fast and creative, almost "God-like". So i made the Santa and when people saw it , the orders just keep coming, and thats how it started... From there I went on to open a buisness of my own with my wife, from there I branched out into the area and became well known for my character dolls...I created a logo for my crafts and decided to call my buisness "The Creators Touch" ,inspired by the center pannel of the Sisteen Chapel painted by Micheangelo. The God-like outreached hand going to put life into Adom just seemed like it had a conection to how my art feels to me..
